Plumbing courses
The aims of the courses are not only to teach novices how to carry out basic plumbing tasks but also giving them an insight in to the plumbers' jargon, talk to a tradesman and he might as well be talking a foreign language. Advice and clear guidance is given as to what jobs you will need expert help on and an overview of rather baffling politics of water pressure (we're not kidding). Weekend courses run from 9.30am - 4.00pm and lunch is provided. Training days are incredibly fast pace and you will begin with some basic theory, learning about the hot & cold water system in your home before being let loose with the spanners and taps. To help get you in the mood and to help your understanding of the days events a theory pack will be issued prior to the course taking place. Armed to the teeth? have you ever felt a little embarrassed about asking the plumber to explain exactly what the problem is and why the job is taking so long? have you tried? and then just stood there, nodding your head up and down in agreement, expleting 'I see, I see, OK, Oh, right, well... cup of tea?' UK One instructors encourage attendees to come with a host of questions about their plumbing problems, so it's like having your own personal plumbing consultant.
